  1. One stereotype I have had to deal with is that people think I am anti-social. I just can't do what I used to do before I got sick. Many times I get the answer that all we are going to do is eat at a restaurant...why can't you come. You can sit down the whole time. You can't win.

  2. Thanks for the shout out last week! Very kind! =) Hmmm...stereotypes...I'll have to think...I'm sure I have a treasure chest of these in my head some where! I guess maybe I'll just share that right now, I'm struggling with other people. It's exhausting to me to keep people updated on my health. Drives me bonkers. Makes me want to hide, ya know? It takes up too much energy! I guess I struggle with others wanting to put our pain in a box- so they can understand it.

I suppose that's why learning I had Celiac was a huge blessing- even though everyone expects me to be well like NOW. Okay, I'm done rambling. Nice to talk to a soul sister who understands the journey. =) Hugs to you, you're doing a great job. OH! I guess a stereotype that comes to mind is that when they see us on better days, they assume we're fine, that we're not as bad as they have heard. I think they don't realize how often we put on a smile to deflect attention from us. I do, anyway. You'd think I'd wont the lottery when I'm in front of others sometimes. Lol. crazy me. =) God is really teaching me to just speak the truth in love, even if I'm not feeling well and it makes the other folks uncomfortable. Wow, that was long- lol.!
